Why Most Players Aren’t Getting Picked
Most players spend all their time working on physical skills… but nobody is training them how to think.
-They make decisions too slow
-They don't scan at the right time
-They freeze in key moments
-They move without purpose
Coaches don’t just look for talent. They look for intelligence.

Jordi Roura Sola is a highly accomplished football professional with a rich and varied career, especially known for his significant contributions to FC Barcelona.
He served as the Director of La Masia, FC Barcelona's esteemed academy, for over 7 years (2014-2021.) In this role, he was directly responsible for scouting and developing hundreds of young talents, contributing to a player market value exceeding $3 billion. His work at La Masia has played a vital role in maintaining the academy's reputation as a global leader in nurturing football talent.
Early Life and Playing Career
Born in Llagostera, Girona, Spain, Jordi Roura joined FC Barcelona’s original Masia as a 15-year-old in 1982. He lived at the Masia for six years, alongside future football legends like Tito Vilanova, Pep Guardiola, Guillermo Amor, Aureli Altimira. Roura's close ties with these figures placed him at the heart of FC Barcelona's history.
Roura made his senior debut two years after joining, playing a full 90 minutes for FC Barcelona "B" in a 4-0 victory against Real Madrid Castilla. He spent two seasons in Spain's Second Division with the B team. On September 11, 1988, he made his La Liga debut under Johan Cruyff in a 3-0 win against Elche CF. However, his playing career was hindered by a severe knee injury during the 1989 European Super Cup against AC Milan, limiting him to only nine more league appearances for FC Barcelona. After being released in 1991, he continued his career in Spain’s second division, playing for Real Murcia and UE Figueres, but recurring injuries led to his retirement in 1994 at just 26 years old.
Coaching and Leadership
Following his playing career, Jordi Roura transitioned into coaching, working with all age groups at La Masia and several professional clubs. He served as a tactical and technical analyst for Pep Guardiola's first team and became the assistant coach under Tito Vilanova. During Vilanova's illness, Roura stepped up as the interim head coach for FC Barcelona's first team, guiding the club through a challenging period.
